Our School

Our school is situated in North Douglas on the Isle of Man and its catchment area includes the Governor’s Hill and Abbyfields areas. We opened on September 8th 1998 with just 193 pupils on roll. The expected roll for September 2009 is likely to be 420 pupils which includes 40 places in our Nursery.

Within our two form entry school, we have 3 floors serving Foundation Stage and KS1, lower KS2 (Y3 and Y4) and upper KS2 (Y5 and Y6). All classrooms are served with a central shared area and we are lucky to have a large hall and sports hall as well as a library, music room and special needs resource room (Frank’s Den). Large playgrounds and a field as well as an area being developed for gardening and nature studies serveimg_04822 our children’s recreational needs and many sporting opportunities and other extra curricular activities are promoted for the children.

We are also fortunate to have Sensory Support Services share our accommodation and specialist teaching staff are available to support children with visual and hearing needs. We also have a Youth and Community area with 2 rooms which is used extensively by the local community.
