More than 50 children took part in designing and making a model buggy as part of our design & technology project which encouraged parents to join in as well.
Last Wednesday children brought their finished buggies into school for the Grand Prix races which were held in the sports hall in front of a packed audience. Prizes were awarded for the top 3 fastest buggies, the buggies which could travel in the straightest line and hit a target and finally for the buggy which captured the judges attention for its originality and quality of design.
All the children (and parents) had lots of fun and although there was a strong competitive element, everyone supported each other really well. The quality of work by the children was superb indeed.
