The quality of produce grown by the children in our school allotments is surely prize-winning standards at any agricultural show. Look at this amazing broccoli grown by James and Jessica.
The lettuce was grown by Freya and family. This is all just the tip of the iceberg!

Pupils from Y5 attended a prize giving ceremony yesterday evening at Douglas Town Hall and collected the first prize award for their art work. The children have explored the use of tone by doing sketches of Douglas Harbour, viewed from different locations. They were drawn from photographs taken by different people in the 1800’s and 1900’s.

Have you visited our allotments recently?
Take a look at these photographs to discover how several of our children have produced a variety of healthy vegetables and different species of flowers. All that digging, weeding, watering and tender loving care has certainly paid off!

Our children in KS1 thoroughly enjoyed their sports day yesterday in glorious weather. They carried out a wide range of throwing, catching, running, shooting and other activities, supported very well by children in Y5 and Y6. A huge thank you to all the staff and parents for their support.

Here we are, two weeks on, and the teams are now in the middle of painting their Kandinsky master pieces! They have discussed and planned their colour schemes, then have assigned themselves sections to take charge of – all of this is their own work!

Y1 enjoyed their trip to Laxey this week. They arrived there by tram and walked up to the wheel and took great interest in learning about the conditions for the miners as they explored the mine. With such a narrow tunnel to walk through with a very low roof, it was a good job they wore their helmets.

Dearest Dearest British steam!
I like your fancy railway scheme
The ‘Sealion‘ is the train to ride
It can take you down to Bride.
Everybody scream and shout
The ‘Flying Scotsman‘’s coming out!
Changing tracks left to right.
Fall out the train, you just might.
Can you decide on where to go?
There are many places I don’t know.
The famous ‘Mallard‘ is the best!
Much much better than the rest.
I would love to drive a train.
But I can’t think of the pain.
Trains going down the track.
Making the noise of Clickerty Clack!
